LET'S DO SOMETHING SIMILAR IN CANADA !!

We The People Foundation for Constitutional Education, Inc sponsored an ad in USA today during the first week of July 2000. Robert Schultz writes of what has been happening since the ad was first published. The results have been very exciting indeed. I am propsing that we of the "Untax/Detax/Refusetax" Movements in Canada seriously consider a similar type of ad in one of Canada's national newspapers. I invite your input....

Subject: KEEP IT ALIVE!

The interest in our USA TODAY ad has been nothing short of phenomenal. Now people throughout the country want to "keep the ad moving." The attitude coming across to us here at the Foundation is, "Let's paper over the country with the ad." The ad -- which described the fraud and illegal operations of the income tax system -- is getting "legs." It is on its way to being mass-produced for the purpose of educating more ordinary Americans on the issue of the fraudulent and illegal operations of the income tax system. They say that repetition is the soul of advertising.

Many people are making arrangements to have the ad run in their local newspaper. Here are the ones we know about: Spokane; Lexington, Dallas/Fort Worth, Tupelo, Kansas City, Westchester County, Indianapolis, Olney (Illinois), and Richmond. Also, many people have asked for a "camera ready" original of the ad that they can take to their local print shop to make copies for distribution (under windshield wipers, in stores, in churches, house-by-house delivery, etc.).

In response to this popular demand, we are making it possible for newspapers and print shops around the country to download the USA TODAY ad directly off our web site, in camera-ready form. Beginning today or tomorrow, there will be two files available at http://www.givemeliberty.org. One is for printing the ad in color. The other file is for printing the ad in black and white. Also, to open the files, the desktop publishing software "QuarkXPress" must be used. Most newspapers and print shops use "QuarkXPress," and will have no problem opening the files, which work in either the MAC or IBM environment.

Many people have expressed the desire to have us send them many copies of the ad for distribution. We have ordered and received 36,000 copies of the ad in color, on premium grade white paper. We will UPS box loads of the ad to those who request them. Each copy is the same size as the ad that appeared in USA TODAY. We do ask that people order the ad in lots of 500 copies when they order. The cost of each box load of 500  ads is $50, which includes the shipping
cost. Send your check or money order to We The People Foundation, 2458 Ridge Rd., Queensbury, N.Y. 12804.

IMPORTANT: Anyone planning to spend a large sum of money to run the ad in a newspaper (or to have a local print shop print a large number of copies), may want to follow what some others are doing. Ask your newspaper for their "not for profit" rate. Send, or wire that amount to us. We will immediately send that money to your newspaper. You could save a lot of money if  We The People Foundation for Constitutional Education, Inc is a sponsor of the ad.  For instance, the cost of the Kansas City ad was lowered from $29,000 to $16,000. Please note also, that if you pay income taxes, the cost of the ad is tax deductible if you send (donate) the money to the Foundation, and the Foundation, as the sponsor of the ad, sends the money to the newspaper.

Suggestion: The group in Indiana is planning on running the ad in a number of smaller newspapers around the state before they run it in the big Indianapolis newspaper. They expect to first develop a base of supporters throughout the state and then from that base raise the money to run the more costly ad in the Indianapolis paper.

Hit 'em again.

Hit 'em again.

Harder, harder!
