URGENT - CALLING  ALL  FARM  PEOPLE!

In less than two weeks, the People's Summit at Quebec City will be happening. This is a call specifically to farm people to come join us inQuebec.

The two-day Agriculture Forum, Tuesday April 17 and Wednesday April 18, will bring together farmers and other rural people from South, Central and North America  and the Caribbean to learn about what the trade agenda means
for farm people, and to  unite to resist it.

The Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), like NAFTA, threatens orderly marketing and supply management, fair energy and transportation policies, food safety,  water supplies, organic production, public services and sustainable rural communities.

As hosts for the Agriculture Forum, the National Farmers Union (NFU) of Canada and the international farmers' and peasants' organization Via Campesina invite farm  people to join us in Quebec to exchange experiences, analyze the problems, and plan strategy and   alternatives to the FTAA.

Although registration for the Forum is almost full, there are still  spaces for farm women, youth and men. Spring is a busy time, but these are key issues for farmers and   the Forum is a unique opportunity to make your voice heard.

FARM  PEOPLE  REGISTER  NOW!
