Farm Practices Board decisions are now posted on OMAFRA's web site. See decison re: Stone Mills Township 40% ownership rule.

There was a Farms Practices Board hearing held on Monday, April 23rd in Centreville,Ontario re: challenge of By-Law 2000-83 provision requiring site plan agreements. Finbar Desir, Secretary to the Farm Practices Board, explained that they are now posting Farm Practices Board decisions to the OMAFRA website. 

The first one posted is the FPB decision in connection with the challenge to Stone Mills Township By-law's 40% ownership provision.

It is unlikely that Stone Mills Township will appeal the FPB decision re: 40% ownership as the lawyers do not think an appeal would be successful. Apparently the provision does not have much teeth in it. The last chance to file such an appeal is Friday, April 27th, 2001.

Details on the site plan agreement decision are expected by the end of May 2001.
