As an active professional who is building an SDI (Self Directed Incomes) Portfolio it is prudent to respect your sponsoring leadership in the respective SDI opportunities that you have selected - so long as they are worthy of such respect. You can respect them without letting them assume ownership of you and/or your enterprise(s). If you initially choose to be a referrer of prospects instead of an active professional in the SDI industry then carefully select leaders who are SDI professionals and who will honour your referrals.
Educate all SDI entrepreneurs about the concept of building a Permanent Earnings Portfolio within the SDI industry and point out the inconsistency of promoting free enterprise while coercing SDI associates to be totally loyal to one particular supplier of products and/or services.
The more dedicated any leadership is to a particular
SDI opportunity the more likely they are to assume ownership of your enterprise(s)
by downplaying the concept of building an SDI Portfolio and advocating
total dedication to one supplier. If you feel that your sponsoring
leadership is imposing their limiting style on your enterprise your proudest
boast as an SDI entrepreneur is, "I can build an
SDI enterprise with my personal style and still
support your network".
When you rely on your sponsoring leadership to do
your planning, organizing, and motivating for you, you hinder your own
leadership development as a professional SDI entrepreneur. Your self respect
will be in danger of withering away with your profits if you are too dependent
on your sponsoring leadership to build your enterprises unless you have
made a conscious choice to be an SDI referrer and you rely on your sponsoring
leadership to build your enterprise(s). Here some questions to ponder.
The answers you come up with will help you determine the level of dependence
you have with the sponsoring leadership in any one of your SDI opportunities:
| 1. | Who builds and follows up my list of prospects for my selected SDI opportunities? |
| 2. | Who shares information about the SDI industry and any particular SDI opportunity? |
| 3. | Who decides which opportunities I will select for my SDI Portfolio? |
| 4. | Who motivates me to become a professional SDI leader? |
| 5. | Who trains the new recruits and manages the networks of the opportunities which I have selected for my SDI Portfolio? |
| 6. | Who understands how the SDI industry can create "Peace and Plenty by 2020?" |
| 7. | Whose SDI enterprise(s) are the most important? |
| 8. | Who decides what books, cassettes (audio or video), magazines, newsletters, websites, will be recommended for use in my self-imposed training course? |
| 9. | Who writes down my goals as a professional SDI entrepreneur? |
| 10. | Who decides what SDI meetings, rallies and/or educational seminars I will attend? |
| 11. | Who decides which products and/or services I will
barter and trade with other SDI
entrepreneurs using the popular Lets software? |
| 12. | Who is responsible for my personal growth and education in the SDI industry? |
If you answered "my sponsoring leadership" to more than four of the above questions you are not likely yet committed to becoming a true SDI professional. That is acceptable if it is your conscious choice. You probably won't achieve and maintain profitability with your SDI Portfolio if your pretend you are an SDI professional but you do not assert yourself or declare your independence. If you answered "my sponsoring leadership" to more than eight of the above questions you are surely not a professional in the SDI industry.
Whether you are an aspiring SDI professional or simply a referrer is not an issue unless you are deceiving yourself about your ability and qualifications to become a professional SDI entrepreneur. If you consciously choose to be a referrer instead of an SDI professional, then of course you will rely on your sponsoring leadership to build your enterprise(s) while building theirs. This choice is an honourable alternative to becoming an SDI professional as long as it is a conscious choice.
The 21st Century will offer an abundance of opportunities in the SDI industry for those who now choose to follow self-imposed courses of study related to the SDI industry. If you prefer you can maintain a role as a referrer and settle for an respectable secondary source of income by simply referring others to selected SDI opportunities. Or you can commit yourself to becoming a professional SDI entrepreneur who understands, accepts and promotes the concept of building an SDI Portfolio. SDI professionals who support the Portfolio concept will be the leaders in this industry in the 21st Century.
Education and training is now being developed by SDI professionals. This SDI industry will discard the negativity associated with multi-level marketing and become very attractive as a career opportunity early in the 21st Century. The X-generation will grasp the opportunity and potential of Self Directed Incomes and they will lead the way as professional SDI entrepreneurs.
This three step program is recommended for those who choose to become active, professional SDI entrepreneurs and support the Portfolio concept.
The first step is to accept yourself as you are and believe in yourself as an SDI entrepreneur and follow self-imposed courses of study. To do this look at your past record of successes, mentally picture yourself as a success in your own enterprise(s) and begin to re-educate yourself now.
Remember that every time you let any sponsoring leader of any SDI opportunity take "the lead" - such as organizing and running a meeting for your prospects - you are choosing to be dependent rather than independent. This may be acceptable when you are a new recruit, but if you want to become an SDI professional you must discipline yourself to grow fast. Remember too, historically many sponsoring leaders have also earned the "big profits" at the expense of the new recruits at the fringe who only pretended to be SDI professionals.
The next necessary step is to assert yourself and demand to run your own independent SDI enterprise(s). The greatest challenge is to discipline yourself to accept a new leadership role. Then quickly invite others to improve on your leadership style and duplicate it while encouraging new recruits to do the same. Initially, you will experience feelings of fear. Remind yourself that action reduces fear and that your immediate goal is to achieve financial independence and the freedom to pursue the ultimate goal of helping planet earth usher in "Peace and Plenty By 2020".
Recognize that the sponsoring leadership of your selected SDI opportunities may have "wants and/or "needs" that may be similar or dissimilar to you own. Know that once you decide to own your enterprise(s) then no single SDI sponsoring leader has a say in which products and/or services you choose to market. If in cahoots with the respective "home office" or single mindedly they choose to cut off your source of supply of to "flush" you simply seek new SDI suppliers and sponsoring leadership which supports the PEP concept in the industry - and broadcast your story on the internet.
The last step is to keep an open mind, learn from every source you can find and take action with new knowledge gained. Shop the SDI industry for new products, services and technologies that will be useful for your enterprise(s). Get sponsored by choice into at least two SDI opportunities by selecting sponsoring leadership who are not only supportive barter and trading and the Permanent Earnings Portfolio concept but who also welcome ideas and input from new recruits at the fringe. Surf the web, read printed literature, listen to audio cassettes, watch video cassettes, and talk with SDI professionals to learn all that you can about the SDI industry and the abundance of SDI opportunities now open to you.
The more independent you become as a professional
SDI entrepreneur the more profitable your SDI enterprise(s) will become
and the more you will like yourself. Struggle and experience has also proven
that the more independent you are the more profitable and mutually beneficial
business partnerships you will create within the SDI industry and beyond.
Such respectable business partnerships will be held together by a strong
mutual respect rather than strained emotional and friendship bonds which
historically have created much upheaval in the SDI industry when total
loyalty to one SDI supplier and one sponsoring leadership team was expected
and enforced even if one's enterprise(s) were operating at a net loss.
