The Leadership Cyberclassroom
Consider these SDI "truths"
1) YOU will continue to "follow" .... as long as YOU rely on a boss to give YOU orders. The success of YOU as a "leader" is YOUR challenge and YOUR responsibility.
2) YOU will continue to be a "wage slave" .... as long as YOU rely on others to be YOU boss. The success of YOUR SDI (Self Directed Income) enterprises is YOUR responsibility.
There are NO bosses telling YOU what to do in the SDI industry. There are leaders offering to show YOU what strategies and techniques are working for them.
Prospective SDI entrepreneurs are invited to learn about
"leadership" from motivational success guru Dan Kennedy who authored a book
entitled, The Ultimate Success Secret ($19.95 from Kimble & Kennedy
Publishing at 1.512.263.2299).
A short quotation from that book speaks loudly to SDI entrepreneurs:
Not knowing how to do something has never stopped me from setting out to do it, and Ive become convinced that anybody can become competent, even expert at just about anything; there are books, cassettes, courses, classes, teachers, mentors, newsletters, associations, an absolute abundance of information linked to virtually any and every skill or ability or occupation you can think of.
And so it is to be successful in an SDI enterprise:
If you want to know which SDI company (ies) to work with, which networks to be sponsored within, whatever .... there's an abundance of information on the internet, in books, on audio and video cassettes .... if you know where to find it .... and act on it after you are aware of it.
Note what Dan Kennedy says: I am frequently amazed and dismayed at people who seek me out and ask questions that evidence they havent done an ounce of homework or research on their own.
Becoming the optimal SDI entrepreneur is a never-ending learning and teaching experience. You have to be ready and willing to invest a little money and a lot of time in order to "learn what you don't know you don't know." Dan Kennedy aptly explains the learning process: Ignorance about any particular subject is forgivable and, fortunately, fixable. Stupidity is another story altogether.
Visitors to the SDI cyberclassroom often ask about which books, seminars,
videos I can recommend for SDI novices and/or prospects. The goal of any SDI entrepreneur
is to become wholly successful by teaching others to become wholly successful. To
accomplish this noteworthy goal is to use positive "sales and persuasion" to
seek and network with "leaders" whom you have to find from within the ranks of
the highly negative "wage slave" environment. You may have to "battle"
for their "time" and "attention."
There is an old saying: "politics is war without the bloodshed." Scoring
"leaders" for your SDI enterprise is not unlike being a politician. You have to
get your leaders positioned within your SDI network to get "success" passed
through the networks. I recommend any good general sales and marketing materials. I also
recommend reading and adapting resources on military strategies and tactics to serve your
needs as an SDI entrepreneur.
Here are two books that Chuck Muth, founder and president of www.CampaignTraining.org recommends as compulsory reading for people seeking to lead in politics. These books have much information that can be adapted for people seeking to lead in the SDI industry.
1.) The Art of War by Sun Tzu.
Required reading at military academies around the world, the timeless advice of this
ancient Chinese general has extremely valuable applications in the trenches of
todays political wars. If youre serious about winning, this book isnt
optional reading
its required.
2.) Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion, by Robert
B. Cialdini, Ph.D. At times dry, but one of the finest books written on the art of getting
people to do what you want (i.e., vote for you, volunteer for you, contribute to you, vote
for your legislation, etc.) in a way that leaves both parties in a win-win situation.
I am fully aware that "every day I learn how little I know" so
readers please forward any worthwhile "leadership" resources so that I can share
them at this Leadership cyberclassroom. Here are some of the best teachers of
"leadership" and "motivation."
And remember "the greatest nation on earth is "imagination."
"A wise person may not accept every SDI opportunity, but a wise person will explore every SDI opportunity"
