Notes to those ready to trade with the nousury, "time currency" ...... Read these instructions and creae your own "lets.htm" page.....

Jimmy Poulin in consultation with John C. Turmel have conceived of a very interesting way to create a network of LETSers who can trade both locally and globally.

Transactions are facilitated by following these simple instructions:

1: Every LETSer on the internet creates his/her own personal transaction file named "lets.htm".
2: An egroup called golets can be used as a catalogue and search engines for all lets.htm pages

Let me explain it this way ....

1: You create your lets.htm file this way
------------------
As a HEADER, (top of page), you put a title "Lets Network", your
identification and coordinates, name and address... Then, put your
offered&wanted section

In the BODY, (middle of page), we put our transaction section in 3 parts
A: CREDIT SECTION

B: DEBIT SECTION

In the FOOTER, (bottom of page), we put a reference to the golets (Global
Online LETSs egroup and a possibility to join the group

All transaction are clickable so that you can see both sides of the entries.
  E.g.: If I made a transaction of 15 hours or minutes in my debit section, you click on it and you see the
same 15hrs or minutes transaction in the credit section of the person I made the exchange with.

2. The search engine
You can use the egroup named golets, (Global Online LETS), as a global catalogue and search engine
Everyone will add only one message in the egroup
To enter your message

A: In the title, you put your address in this order
"Country", "Province" or "state", "city", and the rest of the address is
optional at the end

Canada, Quebec, Beauce, St-Georges
(The catalogue will be sorted by country, state, city, or by name)

B: In the message itself (we put 3 sections of information)
One section for the OFFERED
We put a description of our offered with keywords starting by the plus sign
"+"

+Translate from +English to +French
+Translate from +French to +Spanish

One section for the WANTED
You put a description of your wants with keywords starting by the plus sign
"-"

C: You put your lets.htm URL ADDRESS Example

That will create the global lets catalogue.  :)

It will then be possible to search  all offered & wanted by keywords using
the egroup search option

Note

"To search only for offered we add a minus "-" at the beginning of a word we
are looking for and to only search for wanted we add a minus.  To search for
both wanted&offered, we just type a keyword with no sign."

That's it for the explanation.

We would like all people, who are members of a LETS, to create their page of
transaction and also register their offered & wanted and lets.htm url address,
in the golets catalogue as soon as possible.
After that it will be possible to offer more features to everyone, and
create the best LETS network on the internet.  :)

Note that you must always remember that  this system is completely based on a
manual real life LETS system and that it must always remain possible for
LETSers to register their transaction without the use of the internet as well. 
You can print your lets.htm page, register it, etc...

Please indicate if you understand the process clearly ?  We want to
make sure it is easily understandable for all other interested LETS members.
